JUTATIP specializes in hand-woven cotton fabric and natural dyes, with 100% eco-natural raw material. From the fruit of the golden rain tree comes a copper-colored dye, while indigo leaves yield different depths of blue and crushed lac resin is used for pink.
Its’ eco-natural line is exclusively made from farm-grown cotton, hand-spun and intricately hand-woven into fabric with heirloom quality by the villagers in the north eastern part of Thailand.
JUTATIP originated from Jutatip Chaisura’s passion and love for the beauty and uniqueness of natural fiber.
With the aim to contemporize hand-woven cotton, she combines her parent’s crafts – mom weaves and dad dyes – with Japanese-style design.
Working with leading designers to fuse Thai cotton with Japanese colors, patterns, and styles, Jutatip has given the previously deemed traditional local handicraft a modern makeover.
